Biography:
sergius gregory was born in eastern pennsylvania. he composed music his entire life. he moved into a train tunnel under the upper west side of new york city for the duration of two very cold seasons. here, he composed a large body of material, both lyrical and musical using a violin purchased at a pawn shop on 8th avenue. he then relocated to alaska and continued to compose on a small island near the end of the aleutian chain and a converted tool shed on an island in halibut cove. upon completion of graduate studies in new york, sergius gregory moved to hawaii and began recording his by then over 300 original compositions in the tool shed of his rented coffee shack in the hills above kailua-kona. poverty and mental illness forced him to relocate to homer, alaska, closer to friends. he lives there now and records daily on borrowed instruments, except for his cello which he owns. a 17 track debut 'sounds like people' is due out soon. his love and blessings to everyone.
